Responsibilities
The Senior Project Accountant will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of large-scale construction projects
This position requires a thorough understanding of project accounting, financial reporting and cost control, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget
Senior Project Accountant Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage all financial aspects of assigned construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Monitor and analyze project costs, identifying variances and providing timely recommendations to project management to ensure projects remain within budget
Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
Review and manage project contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and advising on financial implications of contract changes
Coordinate with the accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure accurate and timely billing, payments and collections
Prepare and present regular financial reports, including project P&L statements, cash flow forecasts and variance analysis
