About the Role:
The SoCal Area thrives on delivering exceptional client service, innovative solutions, and strong collaboration with technical service providers and clients. Our work entails significant focus on wastewater/biosolids design and advanced water treatment design, making this a strategic position for those passionate about positive environmental impact and client success.
Your Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute wastewater and water utilities projects.
• Conduct technical research and effectively communicate findings.
• Lead project teams in planning and designing major engineering projects, coordinating pivotal studies.
• Deliver presentations to clients and at professional meetings.
• Oversee the work of drafters and designers while collaborating with other disciplines.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Support and lead business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field) required; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience with large municipal water/wastewater projects.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational abilities and teamwork.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Teams, Outlook).
• PMP certification from the Project Management Institute is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in managing large municipal projects with the ability to provide client references.
• Strong project planning experience in large municipal and federal facilities.
• Adept at interpersonal communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with a drive for achieving results.
Salary and Benefits:
The anticipated starting salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with location, skills, experience, and education. The range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000, and may be subject to adjustment based on performance in the future.
