Senior Project Officer Community & Industry Engagement

Role: Senior Project Officer Community & Industry Engagement
Grade: Clerk Grade +/10
Duration: Ongoing
Location: Hybrid opportunity based in Parramatta or Gosford - in-office requirement 2-3 days a week as a minimum, which could be subject to change based on applicable DCS workplace policies.

About the team

The NSW Fair Trading Community Engagement team engages with priority communities . Through our Community Voice Networks and Let’s Talk Roadshows, we work collaboratively with stakeholders to engage with Aboriginal and multicultural communities, with people with disability and with young people.

The team also develops and delivers community initiatives, including outreach programs, that raise awareness of NSW Fair Trading, particularly in regional areas

Key responsibilities

Manage the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic and operational engagement plans, programs, projects and initiatives to raise regulatory awareness and educate priority communities, aligned with the divisional strategic direction and customer service vision
Manage direct reporting staff, providing guidance and support so they can effectively contribute to and implement community engagement strategies and initiatives that meet customer and stakeholder needs and government priorities
Manage the planning and delivery of complex projects, applying sound project management principles to deliver organisational initiatives
About you

You’re an experienced people leader that is passionate about working with diverse communities
You’re a skilled communicator with qualifications or experience in community engagement
You are self-motivated and can balance competing demands to achieve results
You are flexible and can travel occasionally for outreach and events, including driving (current Australian Driver's Licence required)
