Our company is seeking a Permanent Senior Revenue Accountant who is eager to use their expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of revenue recognition, utility transactions, and vendor invoice validation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and enjoys working with a dedicated team to drive company success.
Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee all aspects of revenue recognition in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
• Process, review, and validate RTO transactions, power, and transmission vendor invoices for payment.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Conduct regular reviews of settlements and billing codes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of tariffs and apply this knowledge in daily work.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes.
• Use the MV-PBS billing system to manage and track all billing activities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the utility sector.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of RTO transactions.
• Proficiency in using the MV-PBS billing system.
• Solid understanding of tariffs and their application in the billing process.
• Proven ability to review and validate vendor invoices for payment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• CPA certification is a plus.
