Summary

The senior accountant will be responsible for daily Accounting, Controls, and team support including, audit, tax, and related administrative tasks. This is a hands-on role in a growing privately-backed company.
Responsibilities
· Monitor and analyze non-operated revenue check data including data related to purchased and sold properties
· Review and post revenue checks
· Monitor, record, and reconcile cash transactions
· Prepare revenue reconciliations, and various statements and reports for internal and external parties
· Work and communicate with Accounts Payable/Joint Interest Billings functions and other departments to address tasks such as netting checks
· Support development of controls and accounting systems
· Work with team and provide support to team members that process Joint Interest Billings, Accounts Payable and GL
· Assist in maintaining and identifying data issues including revenue accounting data, well master data, and deck maintenance
· Work on special projects as necessary such as identifying and correcting data errors and prior period cleanup
· Participate as a proactive member of the accounting team to develop and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
· Interact with other departments to coordinate and respond to requests
Desired Qualifications and Skill
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or in a related field
· CPA (optional)
· 3-5 years of oil and gas accounting experience
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently or collectively as a team member
· Integrity, humility and team-oriented are a must
