Direct Hire role: Senior Safety Manager / Director
Position Overview The role involves developing and standardizing safety programs, ensuring compliance with U.S. and EU regulations, and integrating safety during acquisitions.The position has authority to escalate hazards and recommend stop-work when risks are unacceptable.
Key Responsibilities The role includes creating a global safety strategy, establishing a unified Safety Management System, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, EU directives, and local laws. It involves leading safety due diligence during mergers, standardizing policies, training, and incident reporting, and tracking safety metrics like TRIR and LTIR. The manager will oversee fleet and driver safety, subcontractor qualification, and safety culture initiatives, including leadership training and field engagement. They will support continuous improvement across all regions and manage safety during rapid scaling.
Qualifications and Success Metrics Candidates should have 7–12+ years of safety leadership experience, preferably in solar, construction, or utilities, with knowledge of U.S. and European safety standards. Certifications like OSHA 30 and CSP or NEBOSH are preferred. Success is measured by reductions in incident rates, successful integration of acquisitions, high training compliance, and a strong safety culture. The role involves travel (25–50%) and field site visits.
Working Conditions and Compensation The position is hybrid, with travel to active job sites, and includes benefits such as competitive salary, bonuses, potential equity, health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and safety gear.
