Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service: Greet customers and provide a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. Assist customers in selecting traditional wedding wear, including sarees, lehengas, dhotis, sherwanis, and other traditional outfits. Offer advice on matching accessories and ensure customers have a memorable shopping experience.
2. Sales and Upselling: Actively engage with customers to understand their preferences, needs, and budget. Provide detailed information about the products, including fabric, design, and cultural significance. Suggest alternative options and upsell additional items to increase sales and maximize customer satisfaction.
3. Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of the South Indian traditional wedding wear collection, including different styles, fabrics, color combinations, and trends. Stay up to date with the latest fashion trends in traditional attire to provide accurate and valuable guidance to customers.
4. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure availability of all products. Assist in receiving new merchandise, organizing and displaying products, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. Conduct regular stock checks and communicate with the store manager to reorder items as necessary.
5. Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with customers and establish a loyal customer base. Provide after-sales assistance, including alterations and adjustments. Handle customer feedback, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues to the best of your abilities.
6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including tailors, store managers, and other sales staff, to ensure smooth store operations and deliver exceptional customer service. Share knowledge, best practices, and insights to contribute to the success of the store as a team.
7. Sales Targets: Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets by actively engaging customers, promoting special offers or discounts, and effectively closing sales. Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales performance and contribute to the growth and profitability of the store.
Requirements:
1. Previous Sales Experience: Proven experience in a retail sales role, preferably in a traditional wedding wear store or fashion boutique. Familiarity with South Indian traditional attire is highly desirable.
2. Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to understand customer needs, provide tailored recommendations, and create a positive shopping experience.
3. Product Knowledge: A passion for fashion, particularly South Indian traditional wedding wear. Knowledge of different fabric types, styles, and design elements. Awareness of current fashion trends and the ability to adapt to evolving customer preferences.
4. Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets. Proficiency in upselling and cross-selling techniques. Confidence in engaging customers, overcoming objections, and closing sales.
5. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues when needed.
6. Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
7. Cultural Sensitivity: Familiarity with South Indian traditions, customs, and wedding ceremonies would be an advantage. Respect for cultural diversity and the ability to provide appropriate guidance to customers.
