Job description, work day and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and skilled leader to spearhead our Applications Development initiatives. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction in full systems life cycle management, directing component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in .NET programming language, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Frontend UI development skills (Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript). They will also possess excellent written & verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and mentor less experienced teammates.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leverage technical expertise to drive innovation and efficiency in software applications.
• Develop and implement effective solutions to meet business requirements.
• Lead junior team members with project-related activities and tasks.
• Guide and influence department and project teams.
• Cultivate collaboration with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
• 12+ years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Expert-level proficiency in .NET, SQL, and Angular/JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience leading an Agile/Scrum Team.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• No SQL / Document Databases (Couchbase)
• Messaging (Active MQ)
• Application Containerization (Kubernetes, Red Hat Open Shift)
• Experience with public cloud (e.g., Google, Azure)
