Job description:
Lead a speech and language pathology team to provide professional advice and services which support students and families including building the capacity of school communities to improve students’ access, participation, and achievement.
This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities. Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.

Duties
Lead a speech and language pathology team to provide professional advice and services which support students and families including building the capacity of school communities to improve students’ access, participation, and achievement.

Period of Appointment

Ongoing - ASAP start date

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

Hours per fortnight
53.2 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.

Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).
Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia and is a full member of Speech Pathology Australia or is eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
Desirable Requirements

A current driver's licence.
