Essential Job Functions
• Prepares local, state, and federal tax returns to meet business needs; ensures compliance with governmental tax laws.
• Prepares and analyses tax records and reports to meet business needs; ensures records are current and accurate.
• Prepares for tax refunds, research inquiries from government agencies regarding filings, compliance, and other claims.
• Prepares statistical and financial reports to provide management with information on financial accounts.
• Maintains appropriate tax records for historical purposes; prepares tax studies and assignments.
• Utilizes computer to input, retrieve, or display tax information to keep records current and standardized.
• Reviews proposals for tax implications; recommends actions that meet business plans and manage tax liability.
• Assists in tax audits. May be involved with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions.
What we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Six or more years of experience in tax accounting or finance.
• Experience working with Indirect Tax.
• Experience working with tax laws.
• Experience working with tax forms and processing.
• Experience working with accounting principles and accounting software and databases.
• Experience working with auditing and generally accepted accounting principles.
Other Qualifications
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good editing skills in order to review legal documents.
• Planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Communication skills for providing documentation to support personnel, customers, and managers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
• Hybrid Environment.
• Will require late evening work to overlap US work hours
