What You’ll Be Doing

As the Software/Hardware Integration Program Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and aligning the various teams involved in developing the next generation of our robots. You’ll collaborate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, Autonomy, Perception, Systems, and Infrastructure teams, as well as other internal and external partners, to ensure seamless delivery of cutting-edge robotic solutions. Your role will focus on bridging communication between teams, managing dependencies, and removing obstacles to keep the project moving efficiently towards production. You’ll also lead the Program Review, driving process improvements both in the current phase and for future hardware cycles. Additionally, you will serve as a key point of contact for Exec, Product, Operations, Safety, Security, Quality, and Policy teams, ensuring their priorities are addressed. Your efforts will contribute to delivering a high-performing, safe, and innovative delivery robot to our customers.

Responsibilities
• Drive software-hardware integration efforts across the organization throughout development activities toward release to manufacturing.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional dependencies between Software and Hardware organizations
• Coordinate verification test plans with Systems Engineering and QA
• Prioritize and drive technical issues to closure throughout the organization
• Provide program updates to all stakeholders, including executive team
• Identify, manage and escalate risks as needed to appropriate stakeholders
• Identify and execute continuous process improvements

Qualifications
• BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and/or 5+ years relevant experience in robotics or similar hardware
• 7+ years of Technical or Engineering Program Management experience
• Experience managing programs involving Software integration with new Hardware development
• Experience with Systems Engineering principles
• Experience with Test and validation
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Experience with multiple development methodologies, including agile and waterfall
• Experience using Jira and other program management tools
• Understanding of hardware/software bring-up of distributed systems, managing project dependencies, and negotiating parallel activities to optimize project execution
• Proven track record with software development project planning, progress tracking, and risk management
