Senior Tecnical Accountant

We are in search of a dedicated Senior Technical Accountant to join our client based in Richmond, Virginia. This role is centered on preparing, reviewing, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports. The Sr. Accountant will conduct complex assignments and analyses involving accounting projects and the daily maintenance of a general ledger. Responsibilities:• Prepare, review, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformity to reporting and procedural standards• Conduct complex assignments and analyses involving accounting projects• Maintain a general ledger on a daily basis• Identify inconsistencies and problems within the accounting records and work to resolve them• Perform appropriate accounting controls• Participate in month-end closing, quarterly, and year-end GAAP and key financial reporting activities• Interact regularly with internal and external customers• Advise project teams on specific accounting and internal control issues concerning new products, major business and organizational events, system conversions, system upgrades, and system enhancements• Provide functional advice or training to less-experienced accountants• Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, and SAP.
