Job Description
In this pivotal role, you will:
• Assist the Project Director in providing top-notch transportation planning, policy development, and traffic engineering services.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of planners, engineers, and data scientists, ensuring high standards in technical work.
• Manage project tasks, including staffing, timelines, budgets, and quality control.
• Conduct and interpret technical analyses related to travel demand modeling, interchange studies, and corridor assessments.
• Facilitate research and policy analysis efforts, crafting guidance tailored to client needs.
• Oversee the creation of reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Engage with clients to present findings and support business development in transportation planning across the Midwest.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional certifications (AICP, PTP, PE, CEP) are a plus.
• 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s or * years with a Master’s.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with travel demand modeling and its implications.
• Background in transportation economics and policy.
• Familiarity with traffic operations engineering and related tools.
• Professional transportation planning experience in Illinois.
• AICP certification is advantageous.
