SEO & Digital Executive
With over 20 million users a year, VisitLondon.com is London's official visitor guide and one of the most used tourism sites in the UK. Our website offers users inspiration, information, and the convenience of being able to book world-class attractions, theatre shows, hotels, and tours all in one place.
We are seeking an SEO & Digital Executive to provide best practice optimisations to the content team and developers to help us acquire, engage, and grow users and revenue for the visitlondon.com website, aligning with our ambitious growth strategy.
This role involves working alongside the SEO Manager to develop key channels and use tools and data to provide insights and recommendations for implementation. You will also be expected to audit and analyse additional online acquisition channels to drive more users and revenue to meet growth targets.
You will quantify and measure the impact of your recommendations, communicating the benefit to ecommerce sales and audience engagement. As a team, we believe in making data-led decisions, so you should be comfortable with analytics and confident in reporting on ecommerce and campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed keyword research to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the content team, implementing onto both existing and new content via our CMS system.
Conduct competitor and keyword gap analyses to identify valuable opportunities and produce content briefs for internal teams to action.
Collaborate with internal teams to implement technical SEO fixes identified by the SEO Manager and agencies, performing regular technical audits following internal training.
Ensure the implementation of SEO best practices across all channels through collaboration with various teams.
Lead monthly reporting with channel leads across the team, using analytical tools to ensure we are on track with KPIs.
Research wider acquisition work, such as PPC and social commerce with respective teams and partners.
Implement and report on display ads on our site, monitoring discrepancies and proactively optimising and reporting on their performance.
Brief design teams on visual content and video optimisation, helping to implement recommendations.
Create regular data and insights reports for advertisers and sponsors.
Create PowerPoint slides with the Business Development Manager for advertising and sponsorship proposals and reporting.
Contribute to and ideate for Digital PR/link building campaigns.
Identify solutions to automate SEO fixes or recommendations.
Update income information on Salesforce and other company records, raising purchase orders for agency and third-party services.
Requirements:
Proven hands-on SEO experience with practical experience using data and analytics to create recommendations.
Well-rounded SEO knowledge including on-page and technical SEO.
An analytical mindset with keen attention to detail, sharing results and insights to optimise SEO and display ad channels.
Working knowledge of tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, AhRefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
Competent with Excel formulas and proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Good communication and presentation skills to explain complex SEO issues to the wider team.
Hands-on CMS experience, particularly with Sitecore or similar systems.
A proactive approach to exploring additional channels and opportunities to grow Visit London's users.
Experience in content writing from blogs to websites.
Natural interest in the world of SEO and awareness of the changing landscape of search marketing.
