Service Centre Manager in Training
Full-Time | Leadership Development | Automotive Service
Great Canadian Oil Change is seeking a motivated and results-driven Service Center Manager in Training to join our team. This role is designed for experienced automotive professionals who are ready to develop into a Service Center Manager through structured, hands-on training.
As an SCM in Training, you will work closely with experienced leaders to learn all aspects of running a high-performing service center. You will develop advanced leadership, operational, and business management skills while actively contributing to daily shop operations.
Training & Responsibilities
Learn and support all aspects of service center operations
Assist in leading daily workflow, staffing, and productivity
Ensure all vehicle services are performed safely and to company standards
Participate in structured training focused on leadership, performance management, and business operations
Lead and coach team members to improve performance, engagement, and accountability
Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees
Help to create your store schedule a full month in advance and staff according to sales and coverage needed while managing employee overtime efficiently
Monitor service quality and ensure exceptional customer service
Perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request by your Area Manager
Progressively take on full leadership responsibilities in preparation for a Service Center Manager role
What We Need From You!
1.5-3 years of experience in automotive service
Previous leadership experience (Team Lead, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor)
Strong understanding of quick-service automotive operations
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Results-driven mindset with a focus on performance and customer experience
Commitment to safety and operational excellence
Reliable source of transportation to and from the workplace
