About the role
Bathurst Regional Council is seeking to employ a full time Sewer System Operator to undertake a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of Bathurst's sewer reticulation network, ensuring we deliver a reliable essential service to the Bathurst region.
This is a hands on role and provides the opportunity to develop your skills and learn from a highly skilled team. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work alone and in a team environment.
Key Requirements
Ability to meet the physical demands of a position requiring considerable labouring work
Proven ability to work effectively as a team member
Experience in the utilisation of small plant used in the construction industry
Possess a current NSW Class LR drivers' licence and General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Willingness to undertake various training courses, including relevant Wastewater Treatment Operators Training Course
Mathematical and chemical knowledge to a secondary school level or equivalent
Must be able to swim and be willing to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and B
Ability to work on-call

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and ******* screen.
Salary: $1,044.00 to $1,0+6.+0 per week + adverse working conditions allowance of $18.+2 per week + on call allowance (as required) + superannuation
Position Status: Permanent Full-time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week with an RDO every third week
