Job Title: Shareholder Development Manager

Job Summary:
The Shareholder Development Manager develops and leads programs that directly benefit Sealaska shareholders’ career and educational trajectory and goals. This role is a key part of the Sealaska Shareholder Enrichment Department overall strategy, designing and launching opportunities to support shareholders’ growth, development, and long-term trajectory in Education & Access, Post-Secondary Retention, Career Advancement, and Leadership Development.
Achieving success in this role means building strong relationships with internal business and services departments and external partners to provide the best and most holistic opportunities possible. This role is responsible for Sealaska’s shareholder student success strategy, including but not limited to internship programs, student sponsorships, early in career training, and mentorship programs.
The Shareholder Development Manager also works alongside and interacts with students as an advisor, advocate, group facilitator, and mentor throughout various programs. This person has a passion for working with young adults and helping them succeed in their individual journeys and has an unshakable belief in their potential.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assists with recruiting, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop goals and objectives for the department that are consistent with the strategic plan of the Shareholder Development department
Collaborate with department partners to create and advance a holistic development model for shareholders (focused on students)
Responsible for hiring, training, motivating and coaching the Internship Coordinator
Create experiential learning opportunities, help remove barriers that hinder access to opportunities, develop and instruct internship courses, administer funding, and assist in the implementation of career and education readiness programs for shareholders
Develop, implement, and oversee new programs and services to meet the changing needs of students and shareholders, including supporting Sealaska’s language fund program
Create and lead a professional development program to help students develop skills, knowledge and experiences that complement their academic development for current and future job markets.
Develop and lead credentialing and portfolio-building initiatives to expand on professional development for shareholder employees
Collaborate with the human resources team to source employers and hiring managers to lead professional development programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Experience in developing and maintaining relationships
Ability to lead teams, make strategic decisions, utilize data to inform decision making, and strengthen processes
Customer service skills with solid follow-up and follow through practices
Documented strengths in meaningful relationship building, management, and growth
Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
A professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time
Comfortable with ambiguity, and proactive in taking the lead when opportunities arise
Ability to plan, introduce and lead a process that enables high-quality growth
Ability to lead, willingness to be led, and comfortable with situational leadership
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and development databases required

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Early in career coach training preferred

Physical Demands:

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment:
This will be mostly stationary requiring some movement around the office and frequent communication with others. The average working hours will be 8 hours per day for this position with occasional need to exceed.
