Job Summary
The Shipping & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing all outbound shipping activities, ensuring accurate order confirmation, and maintaining complete shipment documentation. This role supports warehouse inventory verification, expedites shipments, and identifies cost‑effective, customer‑focused shipping solutions using approved carriers and online shipping platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Route, confirm, and manage all shipment orders for assigned region
• Ensure shipping documentation and order paperwork are accurate and complete
• Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding shipment status and timelines
• Work closely with carriers to build strong relationships, expedite shipments, and control freight costs
• Assist warehouse team with inventory verification and reconciliation
• Provide traffic and shipping support to internal departments (Marketing, Warehouse, Sales)
• Post, track, and manage shipments using online carrier portals
• Respond quickly and effectively to shipping inquiries and issues
• Maintain high standards for accuracy, timeliness, reliability, adaptability, and responsiveness
Qualifications & Education
• Some post–high school education or training in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management preferred
• Coursework or experience in freight dispatching, order tracking, rate quotations, shipment cost analysis, and export compliance is a plus
Required Skills & Experience
• 2+ years of experience obtaining freight quotes across multiple shipment types (LTL, FTL, parcel, international)
• Proven ability to identify and resolve logistics issues impacting order fulfillment
• 2+ years of experience preparing export and customs documentation for international shipments
• Strong knowledge of Canadian shipping requirements, including NAFTA/USMCA, SED, country of origin, and commodity codes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
Pay: $23.00 per hour
