JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Short Form Video Editor at Shadow Light Studios, you will play a role in bringing compelling stories to life through expertly edited videos optimized for audience engagement. Collaborating closely with our creative team, you will edit high-quality videos aligned with client brand guidelines and messaging for companies across industries.

To do well at Shadowlight, you must handle several projects at the same time while keeping the quality high and meeting deadlines.
Ideally, you will have more than three years of experience in editing and be skilled in using Premiere Pro and After Effects. You should be well-organized, pay close attention to details, and be dedicated to improving your creative skills daily.

This is a remote position with hours overlapping US PST timezone.
RESPONSIBILITIES (TASKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ROLE):
- Innovate and adapt to various editing styles.
- Edit videos incorporating animation and sound design.
- Create content that engages viewers and understands retention for short-form content.
- Edit videos for diverse industries, conveying compelling stories that match brand messaging.
- Collaborate with a creative team to grasp client needs and align content with brand guidelines.
- Optimize videos for maximum viewer retention and engagement.
- Maintain organized media assets and project files.
- Meet strict editing deadlines while maintaining high quality.
- Provide timely cuts and revisions to clients.
- Manage 3-5 client projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
- Continuously improve editing skills and stay updated with the latest trends and technologies.
- Possess thorough knowledge and experience using ClickUp.
- Possess thorough knowledge and experience using Slack.
- Have experience in client communication.

- On-Time Project Completion Rate: 100%
- Average of 30 high-quality videos edited per month
- Average video quality rating of 4.5/5 from internal reviews
- +0% client retention rate
- Client satisfaction score of +/10 or higher
- 50% faster project turnover when collaborating with multiple editors
- Consistent management of 3-5 projects simultaneously
- 15% quarterly increase in client satisfaction scores
❗️REQUIREMENTS❗️:
- 3+ years of video editing experience.
- Required expertise in Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Proficient in animation and visual storytelling.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
- Dedicated to excellence and client satisfaction.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Excellent time management skills; can meet tight deadlines.
- Consistently high-performing, competitive, and committed to personal growth.
- Proven track record as a dynamic team player across all company levels.
- Available to work during company communication hours from 6 am to 10 am PST.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Compensation: $1,200 - $3,000 per month, with a starting rate that's prorated per video.
- Work Mode: Fully remote.
