Te Tūranga /About the Role
We’re looking for a Site Manager to lead our Pacific site in Hastings — a beef processing operation running a mid-size site and a team of people who know the value of turning up, working hard, and doing things right.
This is a practical, people‑focused leadership role. You’ll be across everything the site delivers each day: production performance, safety, quality, capability, planning and the overall running of the plant. You’ll work closely with your leadership team and support functions to keep the site operating safely, efficiently and sustainably, while also planning ahead to improve how we work.
Te Mahi /Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the site leadership team, building capability and fostering a strong, values‑driven culture.
Own daily and weekly production performance, including KPIs, cost control and meeting commercial targets.
Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring ORA principles are lived every day and critical risks are managed properly.
Oversee technical standards and compliance, making sure we meet all regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
Champion continuous improvement across the site — from problem solving on the floor to longer‑term upgrades and efficiency initiatives.
Ōu Pūkenga /About You
You’re a steady, practical leader who’s comfortable running a complex operation and supporting the people who make it work. You know how to get the best out of teams, communicate clearly, and step in where needed. You can balance the day‑to‑day with the bigger picture, and you don’t shy away from tough decisions or tough conversations when they’re needed.
You bring experience working in fast‑paced, process‑driven environments and you’re confident with numbers, people, safety and compliance. Most importantly, you’re someone who leads by example and sets a standard others want to follow.
You’ll bring:
Extensive operational or manufacturing leadership experience (around 10+ years in senior roles).
Strong people leadership, with a track record of developing teams and building positive, high‑performing cultures.
Solid commercial and financial skills — confident owning budgets, targets and results.
Experience leading health & safety in an operational setting, with a practical, hands‑on approach.
Good understanding of compliance, quality, regulatory requirements and customer standards.
A continuous improvement mindset — able to identify issues, work with others and make changes that stick.
