Job Summary
We are seeking one students to join our team as Social Events Coordinator. This role is ideal for students interested in arts, culture, event planning, and community engagement..
Duties
Develop detailed event plans, including logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation
Coordinate with vendors, venues, and participants to ensure all aspects of the event are arranged effectively
Manage registration processes and attendee communication to ensure smooth participation
Oversee setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring all activities run according to plan
Collaborate with care teams to incorporate activities suitable for individuals with dementia or other special needs
Monitor event budgets and maintain accurate records of expenses and supplies
Address any issues promptly during events to ensure a positive experience for all attendees
Qualifications
Current student (secondary or post-secondary)
Interest in arts, culture, film, or event management
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Basic digital and social media skills
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, vendors, and participants
Ability to organize multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Compassionate attitude with a focus on providing inclusive and accessible events
Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic settings
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to deliver successful events
Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (International students are not eligible for this position)
Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour
