Your Mission
As our Freelance Solar Consultant, you will take center stage in guiding clients to a greener future. You will handle everything from crunching the numbers to overseeing the actual installation keeping each project on time, on budget, and on trend. This is a fully remote gig, so feel free to work in your sweatpants as long as your expertise radiates through the screen!
What You will Do
Client Consultations: Chat with prospective solar enthusiasts, learn their goals, and tailor solutions that are both technically feasible and financially smart.
Comprehensive Analysis: Perform feasibility studies, energy performance simulations, and ROI projections that make solar benefits crystal clear.
Solar System Design Guidance: Team up with our engineers and designers to craft stellar, one-of-a-kind solar power setups.
Project Oversight: Juggle vendors, contractors, and clients like a pro to ensure projects are installed correctly, swiftly, and safely.
Market Leadership: Stay current on industry trends, incentives, and shiny new solar gadgets to keep us (and our clients) ahead of the game.
Proposal Excellence: Create knockout proposals that make the decision to go solar impossible to resist.
Client Empowerment: Educate clients on solar system maintenance, best practices, and ways to squeeze every drop of energy out of the sun.
What We are Looking For
We want a go-getter with serious solar chops who also knows how to connect and communicate. You might be our ray of sunshine if you have:
Core Qualifications
Technical Mastery: Extensive know-how of solar PV systems, energy storage solutions, and how to connect everything to the grid.
Proven Experience: At least 5 years of firsthand experience in solar consulting, project management, or installation oversight.
Data-Driven Expertise: Adept at calculating energy yields, conducting feasibility analyses, and uncovering cost savings.
Industry Awareness: An up-to-date radar on market trends, government incentives, and the solar scene next big thing.
Client-Centric Communication: Stellar speaking and writing skills that build trust in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: NABCEP or similar recognized certifications to show you mean business.
Tools of the Trade: Familiarity with software like PVsyst, HelioScope, and handy project management tools.
Proven Freelancer: Demonstrated success as a remote consultant who can self-manage like a champ.
Education: A bachelor in Renewable Energy, Engineering, or something closely related is preferred, but not a deal-breaker.
