The Team
We are proud to have a strong Class Actions presence nationally, working to secure justice for our clients in some of the nation's most prominent Class Actions, including the Worley Ltd and Blue Sky shareholder class actions, the Stolen Wages and Stolen Generations class actions, and the Ruby Princess class action. The team is led by two experienced and highly regarded Joint Heads of Class Actions and assisted by a dedicated team of Practice Leaders, Special Counsels, Senior Associates and other legal professionals.
The Opportunity
Due to upcoming matters, we are seeking a Solicitor to work on a range of class actions including but not limited to product liability and social justice-based class actions in Sydney CBD.
Whether you’ve come from defendant or plaintiff practice, you will have the opportunity to take a supporting role on prominent cases, including contributing to case operations, participating in e-discovery reviews and preparing evidence.
Reporting to an experienced Practice Leader, and with mentorship from a team of highly experienced class actions practitioners, you will have an ideal balance of autonomy and guidance. With compassion, connection and purpose, you’ll truly champion our clients by:
Supporting the conduct of multiple class actions, effectively delegating to law clerks and paralegals to deliver on discrete tasks towards these class actions.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and class action group members, providing regular and effective communication whilst managing expectations.
Following Shine's key case management processes to help deliver tasks in full and on time, and support more junior team members to do the same.
Drafting high-quality legal documents in a timely manner.
What you’ll bring.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
Current practising certificate.
2+ years' PAE as a solicitor across commercial litigation matters.
Strong legal analytical skills, research skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to work with and manage large volumes of complex documents and reports.
