The Opportunity
Join our exceptional team as a Sommelier and become an integral part of our international family. If you have a deep passion for wine, this is the opportunity for you. As a Sommelier, your main responsibilities include serving wine and champagne, offering expertise on origin, vintage, and styles, managing the wine list and MICROS system, and suggesting wine pairings for our menu items. You'll attend tastings, build vendor relationships, request new products, and create enticing wine lists and promotions. Your role also involves monitoring and maintaining the wine cellar, training staff, ensuring compliance with ******* service laws, and maintaining inventory. About You
You will have experience working as a Sommelier in similar restaurants or hotels
Genuine interest and knowledge of food and beverage products sustainable with wine knowledge
Ability to gauge customers’ preferences, delivering a unique drinking experience
Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills
Immaculate personal presentation standards and excellent attention to detail
Valid Responsible Service of ******* Certificate
Wine and Spirit Education Trust or Court of Master Sommeliers certificate (desirable)
Full working rights in Australia
Willing to be flexible is essential as shifts will include days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
