We are expanding our services and department.
With the FTE expansion, we intend to review our on-call commitments and frequency with a view to improving your work/life balance.
A full-time role has a commitment of 6 clinical sessions per week and 3 non-clinical sessions.
In addition to this, we cover an after-hours roster that looks after normal Anaesthetic work and our level 2 ICU.
Applicants must have completed their specialist training (preferably FANZCA +/ FCICM) and be eligible to obtain provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
We cover a range of regional hospital specialties, running one acute and 4 elective theatres a day.
In addition, we cover acute pain, birthing unit, MRI, trauma calls, pre-assessment clinic, etc.
Experience in Intensive Care Medicine is strongly desirable; formal qualification(s) in ICU would be extremely attractive to us but are not a requirement.
