Job Title: Speech Language Therapist
Location: Tauranga Hospital, Bay of Plenty
Job Type: Permanent, 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Hauora a Toi – Bay of Plenty.
As a Speech Language Therapist, you will provide high-quality services across inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and community settings, working with children and adults to support their communication and swallowing needs.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct informal and formal assessments using sound knowledge of assessment tools
Develop and implement patient-focused goals in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes
Requirements
Sound knowledge of informal and formal assessment tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to work within a team and achieve patient and whānau-focused goals
Prior paediatric and instrumental assessment and/or video fluoroscopy experience preferred
Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
