Ceco was founded in 1+12 and has more than 100 years of experience serving the commercial construction markets, partnering with our clients to provide value to projects of varying scope and complexity.
We are currently in need of a Senior Accountant to work in our fast-paced construction environment. The position will report to the Accounting Manager with responsibilities supporting CECO’s Operations Center based Finance and Accounting department.
Primary Responsibilities
• Reconcile Accounting Records to Banking Reports and manage related banking processes.
• Prepare Unclaimed Property Filings for various states.
• Accrue, Prepare, and File Property Tax payments.
• Review Weekly field payroll and per diem payments.
• Accrue for Travel and Business expenditures.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts along with other month end tasks, including intercompany cost allocations.
• Verify key vendor invoices and payments.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Strong analytical problem solver with the ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and relevant accounting software experience.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Five years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of Construction industry concepts and practices.
