WHAT IS THE JOB?
As a Sr. Accountant Tax & Compliances you will be handling the Direct & Indirect tax filings, their respective compliances, export compliances for our India offices. You will be having an active role in the month close process, internal control process, statutory audits, general ledger accounting. Your primary responsibilities will include keeping up-to-date with tax regulations and guidelines. You will determine regulatory requirements, address compliance risks, and implementation of changes in the regulations applicable on the organisation. This role will report to the Senior Manager Finance. Your ability to be an effective communicator, collaborative team player will be keys to success in this role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO?
• Manage the compliances applicable on the organisation and ensure to comply the filing requirements as per applicable laws.
• Maintaining the compliance checklist and keep updating the status for monthly and annual declarations.
• Preparing the statement for monthly & annual GST Returns and ensure timely filings, RCM calculations and payments.
• Preparing the statements of ITC Reconciliations with 2A & 2B and ECL for multiple states.
• Preparing the statements and documentation for GST refund filing under rebate method, obtain necessary approvals and filing refund application.
• Responsible for correct deduction of TDS on the Vendor invoices, advance payments, and foreign currency payments.
• Obtaining of Lower TDS deduction certificates.
• Preparing the TDS statement for monthly reconciliation and Quarterly filing of the TDS returns in form 26Q & 27Q.
• Preparing the statements and reconciliations for Auditors for Income Tax Returns, Audit & Transfer Pricing filings.
• Preparing the Advance Tax working.
• Raising the monthly GST invoices for branch transfers and exports.
• Preparing the monthly STPI filings, QPR filings and Annual filings.
• Preparing the EDPMS filings and tracking the status, coordination with Bank for closure of open items.
• Preparing the reconciliation statements for vendors, employee advances, other balance sheet ledgers. and posting the necessary journal entries.
• Preparing the statement and posting the inter company accounting entries.
• GL accounting and prepaid accounting.
• Initiate and obtain new registrations/licenses as per business requirements.
• Manage the registration with govt./tax authorities and ensuring the timely renewals of licenses and registration.
WHAT YOU BRING?
• Education Qualification CA/CA Inter/MBA/Bachelor’s.
• Overall work experience of 4-8 years and 2 years+ of handling Taxes and Compliances independently.
• Able to handle the Tax filings and manage compliances documents.
• Working knowledge of GST and Return filings, ISD, RCM requirements, ITC Reconciliations with 2A & 2B and ECL for multiple states.
• Working knowledge of requirements of statements and documentation for GST refund filing under rebate method.
• Working knowledge TDS provisions, quarterly return filing 26Q & 27Q, reconciliation of conso reports and query handling.
• Working knowledge of Income taxes returns, tax audit, TP filing, 15CA/CB and other annual declaration under Income Tax Act.
• Experience of STPI monthly filings, QPR & APR filings and EDPMS management will be an advantage.
• Able to make reconciliation statements.
• Knowledge of Inter company accounting.
• Experience of GL accounting, prepaid accounting.
• Ability in multitasking and coordination with the cross functions.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness and ability to adapt to rapid business and organizational changes.
