Job Description
Financial and Statutory reporting - Responsible for preparing, detailed analysis of statutory reports which are to be submitted to US Government.
Aerospace Governance Accounting – Responsible for Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), FAR Supplements, USG contracts, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) as applied to government accounting requirements
Interpret Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), FAR Supplements, contracts, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) as applied to incurred cost proposals, Rate monitoring reports
Preparation of Rate monitoring reports, base calculations to support Incurred cost proposals.
Analyze and prepare the Incurred Cost Proposals, resulting in final rate negotiations.
Manage large amounts of data from the ERP system (SAP) and effectively analyze the information in support of government accounting deliverables
Reconcile project ledger and cost center detail to trial balance in order to substantiate the final incurred cost claimed process
Analyze and perform unallowable determination of cost as per FAR
Knowledge on US – GAAP, Cost Accounting, Statutory reporting
Develops and maintains documentation that supports Government Accounting Audit & Proposal Support Team as required in response to:
Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Reviews
Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Audits of incurred cost submissions
Establish and maintain documentation standards
Manage documentation retention in accordance with legal requirements and to ensure HON’s favorable position is maintained
Maintain related policies and procedures
Utilize HOS to continuously improve processes and documentation to realize productivity
Identify and implement improved methods or storing and categorizing documentation (such as digitalization)

Bachelors in Finance/ Accounting, Cost Accounting, MBA (Finance)
8+ years of overall finance experience
Prior experience in cost accounting
Critical
Expertise in cost accounting, Expertise in cost flows within the government accounting models, US GAAP Knowledge
Solid analytical skills, strong business acumen, and attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to build relationships (internal and USG customer)
Deep systems skills and knowledge (SAP, MS Office, AMR, Tableau)
Knowledge in in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), FAR Supplements, contracts, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Prior experience to HON forecasting processes (AOP, STRAP, SRO, etc.)
Experience In Government Accounting Preferred
Ability to design, develop, and launch analytical and reporting tools
CPA/CMA and/or Government Contract Accounting considered a plus
Six Sigma certified or trained preferred
