We are a Kolkata based business conglomerate with operations spread across Eastern India in the areas of Real Estate, Hospitality and Entertainment. The Group has played a pivotal role in pioneering and developing the concept of multi-storied ownership of residential apartments and commercial properties in Bengal since four decades.
The group has also forayed into aviation with Mukti Airways, currently a proposed project which would cater to feeder routes. Mukti Group is the first Bengal entity to receive a license to enter the aviation industry. The group has also created a sought-after entertainment and dining hub with Mukti World, offering restaurants, lounges, banquets, a Multiplex named London Paris, to premium consumers of South Kolkata. In addition, the group has roped in one of the world's prominent hospitality companies to enter East India for the first time to develop a five-star hotel in Kolkata.
After creating a strong presence in West Bengal, the group is now focusing on spreading its wings to other parts of India, especially North Eastern and Eastern regions. The plan is to contribute to the development of infrastructure of international standards in the areas of real estate, through township and smart city projects.
Sr Accounts & Finance
Responsibilities:
Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Manage accounting assistants and book-keepers
Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
Provide input into department’s goal setting process
Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Plan, assign and review staff’s work
Support month-end and year-end close process
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Government Liaising
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountant
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Awareness of business trends
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Advanced MS Excel skills including Lookup and pivot tables
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Experience using accounting software (Tally)
Knowledge of financial regulations
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Sharp time management skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
Qualification – Minimum Graduation + 12 to 15 years work experience in real estate (mandatory)
Professional qualification as a CMA/ CFA/ CPA and CS (preferred
