Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our Direct Tax team within the Financial Services (FS) domain. The ideal candidate will bring deep subject matter expertise in Indian corporate taxation, specifically with exposure to BFSI clients (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance). This role demands a strong understanding of tax laws, client advisory, team leadership, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage multiple client engagements related to Direct Tax advisory and compliance for FS sector clients.
• Advise domestic and international BFSI clients on tax planning, litigation, compliance, structuring, and regulatory matters .
• Handle complex tax audit, assessment, and appellate proceedings before tax authorities and tribunals.
• Deliver high-quality deliverables including opinions, memos, and tax reports.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and timely service delivery.
• Lead a team of tax professionals; provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with other service lines (e.g., Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing, and International Tax) for end-to-end client solutions.
• Stay updated on changes in Indian tax laws and assess their impact on clients in the FS industry.
• Support business development initiatives including proposal development and client pitches.
Desired Candidate Profile:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5+ years of relevant experience in Direct / Corporate Tax
• Strong experience in handling clients in the BFSI sector is mandatory.
• Proven track record in client handling, tax advisory, and litigation support .
• In-depth knowledge of Indian Income Tax laws and related regulations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong team management and leadership abilities.
• High degree of analytical skills and problem-solving capability
