This role reports to the Senior Manager, Internal Audit Corporate & Data Analytics.
What you will do:
Assist and/or lead in evaluating risk and conducting operational and financial audits for the purpose of appraising and continuously improving the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes and internal control systems within the Corporate Operating Segment
Participate and be accountable for one or more components of the audit cycle including risk assessment, planning, fieldwork, and reporting
Assist in development of continuous assurance program
Create and maintain analytical scripts within the GRC platform
Collaborate with other IA team members to develop work programs and execute applicable engagements
Discuss and resolve audit issues, findings, and recommendations with the relevant business unit management
Prepare Internal Audit reports on the adequacy and effectiveness of control structure, along with practical recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of a control or process
Assist with retail branch audits and inventory counts
Under the guidance of the Sr. Manager, IA, provide Corporate management with counsel for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and controls
Maintain effective working relationships with Corporate group
Exercise sound judgment, and maintain a high level of standards, integrity and confidentiality
Maintain the credibility of the IA function by performing work in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors' (IIA) International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Code of Ethics
What you will bring:
6+ years of audit experience
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Commerce, Business, or other relevant program, supplemented with a relevant audit designation (e.g. CPA, CIA, CFE and/or CISA) is required
Knowledge of controls, systems and accounting concepts, practices and procedures
Well-developed problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
Demonstrated time management skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to work in a team environment or independently
Proficiency using SharePoint and MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, OneNote and PowerPoint
Experience with a large ERP system (e.g. SAP/Oracle), data analytics tools (e.g. ACL), and audit management programs (e.g. Diligent) would be an asset
Travel will be required to Nutrien Facilities within North America and international locations (approximately 20%)
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role, in Loveland, CO, is between $87,000 - $149,100. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. Our benefit package also demonstrates our culture of care with paid vacation, sick days and holidays as well as paid personal and maternity/parental leaves and an Employee and Family Assistance Program. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee. Details will be discussed through the application process.
