The Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Claravine is a pivotal part of our AI Team, contributing expertise to build and ship critical ML services to production. This high-impact role will contribute to solving customer needs with new and creative approaches, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our solutions.
What You’ll Do
Technical Contribution:
• Drive the design and implementation of media classification and prediction models for text, videos and images.
• Build advanced semantic searches and insights for seamless integrations with the Claravine Data Standard Cloud Platform and customer systems.
• Improve AI classification performance through model tuning, feature optimizations, and making innovative bets using media processing and analysis libraries.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Apply API design, RESTful principles to handle various data formats to/from ML services.
• Collaborate with product managers and additional stakeholders to understand customer needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
Collaboration and Problem Solving:
• Work closely with platform and integration engineers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure end-to-end quality and smooth deployment of AI features into production.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates and soliciting feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to scaling, model confidence and quality, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.

Keys to Success
• 5+ years of ML engineering experience with increasing responsibility
• Professional experience writing enterprise code
• Drive to learn and solve big problems no matter the technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The starting salary for this role begins at $145,000 (US based) and is commensurate with experience and a demonstrated ability to drive meaningful results.
