Responsibilities
ABOUT THE ROLE: Crash Champions isseeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Manager of Accounting to help lead our accounting operations and drive continuous improvement across financial processes. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong technical foundation, leadership experience, and a passion for optimizing systems and workflows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
Conduct flux analysis to explain variances and support financial insights
Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations Finance, Tax, Treasury, and other departments to ensure alignment and transparency.
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Champion the adoption of data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Query) to improve reporting and decision-making.
Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance
CPA certification strongly preferred
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
Proven track record of team development and people management.
Demonstrated success in process optimization and change management.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365).
Bonus: Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI, Power Query, or similar platforms.
