Job Location: Calgary, AB
Schedule: 1-year contract
Our client is seeking a Sr. Mineral Land Analyst to support the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of mineral land records within their land database. This role plays a key part in reviewing and aligning land records with data standards, procedures, and consistency manuals, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of mineral land processes.
What’s the Job?
Lead the land expiry process, including follow-through on expiries, continuations, and government/freehold notifications to Geologists, Negotiators, and Partners.
Review, validate, and align existing land records in CS with established data standards and procedural documentation.
Apply working knowledge of Saskatchewan Crown regulations and Freehold leases to daily activities.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of land-related processes and procedures.
Respond to internal and external inquiries accurately and in a timely manner.
Solve complex land administration issues involving multiple variables and stakeholders.
Generate complex area land maps and extract data from multiple systems.
Support Negotiators with Crown posting and sale processes.
Prepare and submit caveats, withdrawals, discharges, and transfers of caveats to land titles offices, and advise partners and freehold owners accordingly.
Work independently on most matters, seeking guidance on more complex or unusual issues.
Utilize core systems effectively, including: CS Explorer, Execute, GeoScout, StackDX, SAP, ISC and IRIS
What’s Needed?
Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in oil and gas land administration.
Graduation from a recognized land program is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Active membership with LEMAC.
Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage and adjust priorities in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Comfortable working with multiple systems and handling complex datasets.
