Design, plan and implement sourcing and purchasing strategies
Search and source potential suppliers and vendors
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
Negotiate for lower pricing
Vendor Registration & maintain a database of approved suppliers and vendors
On the receipt of requisitions process purchase orders
Maintain records of goods ordered and received
Ability to set up Processes & Systems required for smooth functioning of Purchase & Stores
department
Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material
availability
Work with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments
Track, measure and analyze company expenditures
Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers
Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers
Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs
Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and
procedures

Impressive communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Hands on experience in budgeting and purchasing management
Outstanding negotiation skills
Strong knowledge of Mathematics, Data Analysis and Statistical Methods
Ability to work well with others, strong initiative and willing to accept additional
