Job Summary
The Sr.Staff Accountant will oversee various financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee and ensure proper Fixed Asset management.
• Assist auditors during annual audits with a strong emphasis on SOX compliance.
• Perform month-end and year-end close practices.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analysis of financial statements.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental expenses.
• Support, monitor and implement cycle count processes for all Segment within Aviation to ensure inventory levels reflect the operations.
• Draft inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data.
• Track daily inventory adjustment to identify opportunities in the inventory process.
• Research and perform any necessary stock adjustments.
• Reconcile inventory against our ERP system and perform root cause analysis to correct any discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and financial optimization.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions by reviewing daily subledger batches.
• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
