Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team in a dynamic real estate development company. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the daily financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, project accounting, and financial reporting for multiple development projects and entities.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Maintain general ledger entries and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Assist in year-end close processes.
Track project costs, budgets, and expenditures across multiple real estate development projects.
Assist with preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and internal reports.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Assist in tax filings and coordination with external accountants.
Support other finance and administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications:
1–3 years of accounting experience preferred; real estate or construction accounting a plus.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,839.55 - $70,860.53 per year
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Ability to Relocate:
Wilmington, NC 28405: Relocate before starting work (Required)
