Overall Responsibility: Responsible for day-to-day duties of the accounting department for self-storage facilities and apartments.
Primary Functions: The Staff Accountant is the center point of all accounting and training for the region. The position can require 40+ hours per week. Must be a self-starter, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision. Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
Accounts receivable and accounts payable
Intercompany invoicing
Bank account reconciling
Credit card reconciling
Payroll for Milestone Development & Lighthouse Storage
Compile monthly financial statements
Communicate with banks to set up loans for new projects
Submit construction loan draws to the bank
Compose operating agreements for new companies formed
Compile reports to distribute to investors
Bill pay for property entities
Facilitate daily bank deposits and USPS transactions
Enter Trademark daily transactions into Quickbooks
Process State filings and business entity reports
Oversee office inventory management
Collection and tracking of: Lien Waivers, W-9 forms & Certificates of Insurance
Brand Image invoicing
Coordinate insurance and keep all policies up to date
Qualifications
Professional with Team-Oriented Attitude
Fluent with MS Excel
Comfortable with Outlook, Word
Experience with Accounts Payable/Receivable
Experience with QuickBooks
Payroll experience
