Job Summary:
Reporting to the VP of Finance at The Real Title, Staff Accountant will provide support to the accounting and title operation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
● Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
● Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
● Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections
● Processing and Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits
● Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
● Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliation
● Meeting processing and reporting deadline
● Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits
● Answer inquiries related to payment and transaction status quickly with tact and empathy; research and resolve all inquiries
● Ensuring compliance with IFRS/ GAAP
● Assisting the management team as needed
● Other duties may be assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Working knowledge of IFRS / GAAP.
● Proficient in spreadsheet software (Excel), Word and financial management software
● Qualia, RamQuest, SoftPro or any other title agent settlement solution experience preferred.
● Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently.
● Strong numeracy and analytical skills
● Good problem-solving and time management skills
● Highly organized and detail-oriented
Education and Experience:
Experience:
● Accounting, 5 Years
● Proven experience with accounting system conversion or integration.
● Experience with office management tools
● Excellent organizational and time-management skills
● Strong written and oral communication skills
● Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail
● Extensive project management experience and proven ability to multitask
● Proficiency in Google Suite, project management, presentations
● Comfortable working with spreadsheets
Education:
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
● Knowledge of office policies and procedures
