Baer is looking for Staff Accountant Full Time in Dunwoody, GA.
Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Hybrid – 2 to 3 Days Onsite in Dunwoody, GA
Duration: Full Time Hire
Essential Functions
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to include preparing, posting, and reconciling payments made to the company. This role includes preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliation. The Staff Accountant will also assist in creating timely and accurate financial statements while maintaining compliance with accounting standards, financial controls, and procedures.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
• Accurately and timely process EFT/ACH and manual remittance deposits to the appropriate customer account and invoices, ensuring reconciliation of all batches.
• Manage AR past due for US and international vendors/clients.
• Manage AP processing weekly
• Interface with external customers to resolve open items.
• Perform account reconciliation, prepare refunds, offsets, and write-offs.
• Assist in performing general ledger accounting functions as needed and/or assigned to ensure timely completion of department functions.
• Reconcile a wide variety of financial data to maintain accurate account balances and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Assist in reporting key financial indicators to management.
• Provide analysis on company expenditures and revenues.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process for assigned entities.
• Assist with the budgeting process.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Skills And Qualifications
• Audit experience, including follow-up with consultants regularly, beyond just entering debits and credits.
• 1-2 years of experience managing AR application of payments and follow up with customer on past due
• 1-2 years of experience with processing AP documents and payments
• Payroll processing experience is a plus
• Excellent computer skills, including intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees from multiple departments, customers, and vendors.
• Self-directed with excellent follow-up skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Unanet is a plus.
• Solid analytical skills.
Education And Work Experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent to 2 years of education in Accounting or Finance and or 3 years of relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Local to Atlanta Required – 2 to 3 Days Onsite in Dunwoody
