The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and supporting our financial team. • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, ensuring all accounting functions comply with regulations and standards of best practice.
• Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures.
• Conduct detailed account reconciliations and analyses to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Use financial modeling to simulate financial scenarios and predict future outcomes.
• Present financial information to the management team, providing insights to inform business decisions.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest financial laws and regulations, and utilize this knowledge to ensure the company's financial management remains compliant.
Job Details
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including preparation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with account reconciliation, financial reporting, general ledger, and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
