The role involves a variety of accounting tasks such as handling Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. Responsibilities:
• Effectively manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Handle payroll functions ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Prepare and post journal entries ensuring all business transactions are recorded.
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and statements.
• Apply accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Acumatica software for various accounting tasks.
• Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industries
• Demonstrable proficiency in the use of financial software, specifically QuickBooks and Acumatica
• Solid understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Expertise in bank reconciliations, general ledger operations, and journal entries
• Ability to effectively manage and perform month-end close procedures
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
