Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:
• Handle accounting duties for commercial real estate development projects from acquisition to completion and turnover.
• Process earnest money check requests.
• Coordinate with banks to open checking accounts.
• Set up entities in Yardi accounting software, including job codes and closing entries.
• Prepare and submit loan draw requests to banks.
• Process general contractor pay applications and other invoices.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with outsourced bank reconciliation functions.
• Post journal entries for monthly close.
• Maintain property listings and classify stages of projects.
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of accounting experience in public accounting or industry.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Experience with Yardi software is preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
• Office Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility.
