Salary Range: $22.18 - $23.41 Hourly
Travel Percentage: Negligible
Staff Accountant
OBJECTIVE
To assist in the preparation and reconciliation of the monthly financial statements, and maintaining books of record, completing spreadsheets, and reconciling specific accounts.
REPORTS TO
Finance Director
STATUS
Full-time (40 hours per week)
SCHEDULE
Our normal office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Associate of Arts degree in accounting or closely allied field (experience may substitute for education)
• Two years of accounting experience is preferred
• Detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Computer skills proficient in Excel, Word, and Adobe; prior experience with computer accounting software
• Intermediate accounting skills
• Team-player qualities, including:
• Positive, cooperative attitude
• Dependable
• Pleasant
• Flexible
• Willingness to go the extra mile
• Discretion
• Production-oriented
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
• Able to sit for extended periods of time
• Reach and stoop to file levels
• Answer telephone
• Operate PC using keyboard
• Good vision for close work with numbers
• Use keyboard for extended periods of time
• Lift up to 35 pounds
• Climb stairs
