Job Summary:
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through the preparation of company reports and statements. This individual will work under the direction of the Financial Controller. The qualified candidate will work closely with AP, AR, & Collections teams to learn the Accounting system and software. We are willing to train the right candidate with an educational background in accounting.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Experience with financial statements and GL reporting is preferred
• Reconciling GL accounts.
• Acquire Business Licensing for multiple companies.
• Certified payroll reports.
• Payroll tax reports preparation.
• Resolve local government tax inquiries.
• Process credit card payments and various projects as needs arise.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to correctly prepare payroll tax reports.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required.
• At least three years of related experience preferred.
• Experienced tax accountant, tax analyst or similar.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
