Primary Responsibilities:
Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including collaboration and coordination amongst multiple stakeholders.
Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records, files and account reconciliations.
Review general ledger for input accuracy and verification of accounts.
Responsible for the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Responsible for the analysis of financial data by summarizing and interpreting data.
Develop and maintain internal controls and related documentation.
Prepare various management reporting including variance analysis.
Maintenance of the fixed asset system.
Assist in providing documentation for internal and external auditors, as needed.
Collaborate with the Executive team to ensure proper allocation of financial data and accounting.
Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, with 1-3 years of prior experience, preferably in a retail environment.
Strong understanding of accounting theory and US GAAP.
Strong Excel skills and the ability to efficiently manage large data sets (VLOOKUP, Sum-Ifs, Pivot tables, etc.)
Familiarity with large General Ledger system.
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Ability to adapt quickly and easily and shift approach in response to the demands of the situation.
Demonstrated flexibility especially during month-end closing processes
Ability to think proactively and work in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment.
Detail oriented and deadline driven with good analytical, organization, and communication skills.
Able to present financial data in a concise, logical and useful manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain financial data and balances.
