Job Description:
FINBOA is seeking a highly organized and analytical Staff Accountant to support our finance function. This individual will work closely with leadership to ensure timely and accurate financial data, assist in period-end close processes, and uphold accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate classification of financial transactions. Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Analyze account activity and assist with variance reporting. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation. Assist with cash flow tracking and bank reconciliations. Support external audit and tax preparation activities (taxes prepared by KNAV Advisory Inc.). Contribute to process improvements and internal controls development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a staff accountant or similar role. Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Experience with QuickBooks Online and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
