Position Overview
We are seeking an organized and motivated Staff Accountant to join company. This role will support our accounting operations and project management efforts, working closely with team members to ensure precise and efficient business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with a variety of accounting tasks, including basic cost and project accounting
Coordinate permitting applications and processes across different states and cities
Track and follow up on insurance incident claims as support for the safety team
Communicate effectively via phone and written correspondence, maintaining clear and accurate documentation
Support Project Managers with administrative and accounting functions
Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Qualifications
Associate’s degree (2-year college degree) required, preferably in accounting
Familiarity with cost accounting or project accounting preferred
Understanding of insurance incident claims process and employer insurance ratings
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work collaboratively within a team
Proficient in office technology (MS Office Suite or similar); experience with [insert specific accounting software if applicable] is a plus
Must work onsite at our northwest Indianapolis location
Available to work 40 hours a week with the option of reduced hours. Schedule is negotiable.
