Position: Staff Accountant - Hybrid Role
Job Title:
Staff Accountant (Hybrid)
Position Overview: The Staff Accountant will join the treasury/SG&A team in supporting daily operations for multiple Converge Portfolio Companies.
Position Responsibilities:
• Posting of daily banking transactions, reconciliation of related accounts. Participation in monthly close process to include:
• Maintaining relevant reconciliation files (for General Ledgers & Bank Accounts)
• Adjusting journal entries
• Credit Card Accrual
• Accrual of general AP invoices as needed
• Tracking and reporting for annual 1099 filings (Quarterly Vendor Reconciliation and Yearly 1099 filings)
• Assist in audits and special projects as assigned.
• Accounts Payable including:
• Invoice processing
• Weekly payment runs
• Statement review
• Bank transactions
• Credit Card Transaction (Create expense reports, process credit card transactions and post in Business Central)
• Correspond with Vendors via email or telephone.
• In office requirements:
• Open, sort and email all mail that is in the Lincoln, RI office.
• Remote deposit all check, batches twice a week while in the office.
Position Requirements:
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Driven and able to work independently in a remote environment
• Team player with excellent communication skills willing to ask for help and/or provide assistance across the team
Position Qualifications:
• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years' experience preferred.
• Experience in a public company is a plus.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
• Discretion in dealing with sensitive and highly confidential information.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Prior experience with Business Central and/or Jet Reports is a plus.
